Councillors to discuss plans for six new classrooms at WASPS.

A proposal for six new classrooms at Weston All Saints Primary School will be determined by councillors next week. The plans will see the six classrooms built within the South East corner of the site, adjacent to Lansdown Lane. Work will also take place on the car park, to allow it to accommodate 18 staff cars, with a drop off and collection area for parents. The application also includes proposals for short stay parking on Deanhill Lane to act as a Park and Stride facility, for parents to park their cars and walk their children to school. WASPS has a capacity of 420 places, however during the past three years more children attended, pushing the numbers up to 510. The extra six classrooms would allow the school to give places to 630 children. Plans will be discussed by councillors on the Development Control Committee on Wednesday. They are recommended to be approved.
