"We must improve to beat Saracens," says Bath Rugby boss Mike Ford after win over Wasps

Bath Rugby head coach Mike Ford says his side must improve if they are to beat Aviva Premiership top-four rivals Saracens next weekend. Third-in-the-table Bath edged an entertaining seven-try thriller against Wasps yesterday, with the bonus-point win at The Rec reinforcing their end-of-season play-off credentials. Anthony Watson grabbed a brace of tries in the 32-25 success, with Nick Abendanon and Kyle Eastmond also touching down for the hosts. The result means Bath have now lost just once in their last 20 games but Ford wants to see a big improvement if his side are to continue that form when Sarries visit The Rec on Friday. "It was a stressful game for a coach," said former England defence chief Ford. "It's a grind with the Premiership, the LV= Cup and Europe and as coach you are looking for perfection and you want to play on the edge every week. "It's very, very difficult to do that and today we weren't on the edge and were a bit lacklustre. "But I thought we deserved to win. Good teams get away with it and that's what we did today. "We attacked well and got our four tries quite early in the second half. Credit to Wasps, they kept going and were fighting for a draw near the end. "We are pleased with a five-point win but we know we need to get better for Saracens on Friday. "We need to make sure we learn the lessons from today and make sure we are on that edge because we are not a good enough team to just turn up and win."
