The Michael Tippett Centre will welcome the Phoenix Piano Trio for their debut performance in Bath on Wednesday, March 26.
The trio formed in 2010 and have drawn universal high praise for their performances.
They gave their Wigmore Hall debut in 2012 and also released their first CD based on their "Beyond Beethoven" project, which saw them perform all of Beethoven's piano trios alongside newly commissioned works by contemporary composers.
The trio consists of three young musicians who have individually built impressive careers as chamber musicians with a variety of ensembles: violinist Jonathan Stone, cellist Marie Macleod and pianist Sholto Kynoch.
A highlight of their Michael Tippett Centre programme will undoubtedly be Beethoven's Archduke' Trio in Bb, Op.97.
