A road near Batheaston which was blocked by a fallen tree has now been reopened.
Motorists were being diverted away from London Road West because of the closure between the Batheaston bypass roundabout and Bailbrook Lane.
The incident happened at 1.09pm, but Bath and North East Somerset Council has said the site has now been cleared.
There are reports that a vehicle has been damaged, but it is understood that nobody has been injured.
A council spokesman said the tree had been growing on private land.
