The owner of two expensive guitars which were stolen in Bath has thanked the police after they were found undamaged. Musician Laura Kidd said the instruments were waiting for her at the Manvers Street police station after someone tried to sell one of them in Bristol. Writing on her blog She Makes War, she said: "I am so happy and relieved and thankful to the police for working to get them back, to all the local guitar shops who were so nice to me and said they'd keep their eyes peeled and to the good people of the internet for their amazing outpouring of support last week." The guitars were stolen from a car parked in Nelson Villas, just off Upper Bristol Road, on Wednesday night. One guitar was a Gibson Les Paul Studio 2014 and the second was a bass, a Fender Precision, American Standard model 2012. Both instruments were in Mono guitar cases, and have been recovered by police undamaged. Daniel Parker, 23, from Bristol, has been arrested and charged in connection with the thefts.
