Coach gets stuck on tollbridge between Batheaston and Bathampton

Motorists are being advised to find alternative routes after a coach got stuck on the tollbridge between Batheaston and Bathampton. Police are at the scene of the incident trying to help the driver manoeuvre their way out of the tight spot.

The route is a popular shortcut from the A46 to the A36, which allows motorists to avoid driving into Bath along the busy London Road. The A36 has already been congested at rush hour over the past few weeks because of the closure of Midford Road due to a landslip.
