Head coach Mike Ford says Bath Rugby are capable of winning the LV= Cup after they booked a home tie in the semi-finals with victory at Leicester Tigers last night.
Bath made it four wins from four in the pool stages with a 35-17 success at Welford Road. Their haul of 19 points means they will definitely finish amongst the top two seeds when this phase of the competition concludes over the weekend.
Their last-four opponent has yet to be decided but Ford is confident his side can go all the way.
He said: "Of course we can win it. We could be playing someone from this group in the semi-finals but we are not going to worry about that.
"We will see who we have got on Sunday and then put that to bed and look at the next game.
"It's nice to have a home semi-final. The Rec is special for us and we haven't lost many games there over the last 18 months. It's been good to us. The fans are fantastic and we love playing there."
Bath picked a much stronger side compared to the hosts and Ford says it was with the intention of putting out a statement of intent in this competition.
"Leicester are in a different cycle to us. They have been a champion team for the last ten years and still are a champion team," said Ford.
"They have got bigger fish to fry in the Heineken Cup and like us want to do very well in the Premiership.
"This was just the next game for us. It wasn't the LV or the Amlin – we're just taking it as the next game.
"We looked at our squad, and people who haven't played much in recent times, but then we want people like Francois Louw to go out there because we want them ready for the week after, which is the Premiership.
"We had to come here to win and we made a statement with the team we put out. It's good to come away with that kind of result."
Bath edged the first half 18-17 thanks to tries from Alafoti Fa'osiliva and Matt Banahan. Pablo Matera and Blaine Scully replied for Tigers.
The visitors took control after the break, though, and Ollie Devoto and Carl Fearns touched down as they racked up a further 17 points without reply.
Bath also had the better of the kicking exchanges, with Gavin Henson's haul of 15 points outshining Owen Williams' seven for Leicester.
The win was Bath's fourth straight bonus-point success in January's cup matches and Ford says his side's free scoring ability is a result of them being given the license to attack.
"We played some good football and made some good decisions. They boys are playing with freedom," said Ford.
"To score 35 points in those conditions against any team is pretty good. I thought we left a few out there as well.
"The first half was weird as we gave them 17 points. They didn't have to work – I can't remember us defending. We addressed one or two things at half-time and defensively and field position-wise we had total control of the game."
