Mike Ford not fretting over Bath Rugby's fly-half poser ahead of Leicester Tigers trip

Mike Ford says there are no concerns over Bath Rugby's fly-half selection dilemma ahead of their trip to Leicester Tigers on Friday night. First-choice ten George Ford is in England's travelling party for their Six Nations opener away against France on Saturday. Back-up Tom Heathcote is on duty with Scotland A as they take on England Saxons. Bath still have 33-cap Wales international Gavin Henson and Academy player Ollie Devoto available to them for the LV= Cup clash at Welford Road (7.45pm). Neither has started a first-team game for the club at fly-half this season but head coach Ford does not see that as a problem. "We've got options there with Ollie and Gavin," said Ford. "It's a chance for one of them to go to Welford Road and play as first receiver, or if they both play to be first and second receivers. That will be a great challenge for them. "We've not settled on selection yet. Ollie has been first receiver a bit for us this season already but if it's Gavin that plays that role it's a chance for him to get some credit in the bank for the upcoming Premiership games." Bath have already booked their place in the LV= Cup semi-finals after building an unassailable lead at the top of Pool 3 following Saturday's victory over Cardiff Blues at The Rec. Another win at Welford Road will secure them a home tie in the last four. Leicester, meanwhile, must win to keep their own qualification hopes alive. A last-minute try denied Bath victory at Welford Road in the Aviva Premiership earlier this month but Ford says that has not given his side extra motivation. "The draw was disappointing but it's not a case of unfinished business," said Ford. "It's another competition, another challenge, and another chance for us to try to achieve our aims in the LV= Cup. "They are a fantastic side and they will want to win the game. You never expect anything less from Leicester. It's always a tough challenge when you've got to go to Welford Road. "But we know we need to win the game to get a home semi-final, and we're not afraid to tell people that's what we are going there to try to do. "We had the same challenge against Bordeaux in the Amlin Cup and were able to do it, and that's what we've got to try to do again."
