The owner of a failed Portuguese tapas restaurant is to relaunch a cocktail bar.
Antonio Bustorff-Silva will this week open a new business venture as he takes over at the Ivy Bath on Argyle Street.
Last November Mr Bustorff-Silva closed Portvcale, on St James's Parade, blaming mounting debts and his own lack of financial experience.
The aspiring actor, 28, said the new venue would also serve a mixture of Mediterranean and British food made by his mother Inês Bustorff-Silva.
"I am glad to announce that after the unfortunate closure of our little Portuguese tapas bar last November, we are now opening a brand new and exclusive cocktail bar with kitchen by the Pulteney Weir in Bath, called the Ivy Bath.
"This is a very nice smart new place with Mamma's food this time in a British, Mediterranean, world menu. Wonderful boards for sharing, from tapas to home-made burgers, beautiful steaks, salads, soups of the day, in house baked pizzas and home-made desserts."
The Ivy Bath opens Thursday tonight at 5pm.
