Anya Shrubsole hailed England's all-round team effort after they took a major step towards retaining the Women's Ashes with a 61-run victory in the series' sole Test match in Perth today.
Australia were chasing 185 to win at the WACA but started the final day on 57-5.
Bath CC seamer Shrubsole claimed three of the five wickets to fall as England completed the job before lunch, finishing on 3-48 from her 14 overs.
The 22-year-old claimed seven wickets in the match, having led the way with 4-51 to help limit Australia to 207 and a six-run lead in the first innings.
"We're absolutely ecstatic. We're a little bit tired, it's been a long four days, but it's amazing to get the win," said Shrubsole.
"It was an unbelievable team effort. Every one of the whole 15 – even the girls who weren't in the starting 11 – played their part in this and I think we fully deserve the win for the fight and character we showed throughout the four days.
"Over the course of this match it's shown that if you've got one wicket then two, three, four or five come quickly after it.
"We knew all it would take was one ball and we could potentially be back in. That's what it took, it took one ball and from there on we closed the game out really ruthlessly.
"I'm really pleased to have contributed but there is no one person in this team who can take credit for this win – it's been a real team effort.
"We've fought, and we've fought, and we've fought. From 32-3 on day one, from 18-3 coming into day three we've continued to fight. That's shown and we've fully deserved our win."
England captain Charlotte Edwards was keen to praise the performance of Shrubsole.
Edwards said: "Anya always wants the ball and bowled fantastically well. She got the rewards in this Test match. In England she didn't get the rewards she deserved but here she's definitely got them."
England's win gives them a 6-0 points lead ahead of the first of three one-day internationals in Melbourne on Sunday.
Those games – plus the trio of Twenty20 internationals that follow them – all carry just two points for a win.
Shrubsole says England's attentions have already turned to the remainder of the series.
She said: "The teams are evenly matched. While we are going to celebrate this win because it's been a hard-fought four days, we know there are six more really important games.
"We are going to have a bit of a rest, put our feet up and recover, and then we'll be straight into ODI mode and hitting that first ODI in Melbourne hard."
