Bath Rugby forwards boss Neal Hatley has played down talk of England prop Henry Thomas heading to The Rec.
Reports in the Rugby Paper yesterday claimed the 22-year-old had agreed to join his hometown club Bath from Aviva Premiership rivals Sale Sharks for next season.
First-team coach Hatley, however, told the Chronicle today that no deal is in place.
"We can't talk to anyone until January," said Hatley.
"Henry is a very good young player and I think he would probably have quite a few clubs interested in him should his services become available.
"We are just focusing on these three games at the moment and will then see where we are from a recruitment point of view in January."
Thomas was a member of the youth set-up at Bath and attended King Edward's School in the city. He joined Sale while studying for an Economics degree at the University of Manchester.
He made his Sharks debut as a 19-year-old in 2010 and won his first two England caps on the tour of Argentina this summer.
