Detectives investigating a sexual assault on a Bath student have released a CCTV image of her attacker.
The picture only shows the bottom half of the man, but police are hoping somebody will recognise the distinctive trousers he is wearing.
Det Insp Charlotte Tucker, who is leading the investigation, said: "It is clear that the victim was followed before being assaulted.
"We would like to hear from anyone who saw a man matching this image and wearing clothes like these in the area around James Street West at about 10pm on Wednesday, November 6."
The suspect was wearing a dark, thin waterproof hooded jacket, trainers and dark denim Voi–brand jeans with distinctive V-shape motifs on the rear pockets.
He is described as white, in his late teens or early 20s, around 5ft 10ins to 6ft tall with dark ear-length hair with a fringe and very wide, open eyes.
Anyone who saw the man or who can identify him from the CCTV image is asked to call Bath CID on 101 or the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
