Plans are now in the pipeline to give printmaking in the city a bit of a boost.
Local artist Carole Anne Tonge is organising a new print exhibition for later this month at which printmakers from all over the south west will be gathering for what is seen as a unique exhibition and sale of work.
Bath Print Open will be held at the Barth Artists' Studios at Upper Bristol Road, Bath from September 27 to 29.
More than 50 artists from across the South West are going to exhibit their work.
This exhibition is seen not just an opportunity for artists to sell their work, but also a chance for them to meet, network and learn new techniques.
To this end Saturday afternoon has been devoted to lectures about print and Sunday will be a more informal gathering over cream tea.
The exhibition will be open on Saturday from 10am to 5.30pm and on Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
On the Saturday Sandra Porter will be talking about prints and CA Tongue will be giving a lecture called The Wiltshire Etcher.
