Young acting talent in Bath is getting a helping hand with the launch of a scholarship scheme for children aged seven to 16.
The Bath Theatre School scholarship is worth £750 and intended to nurture and develop young stars, and to improve access to the arts for children.
Theatre school principal Tom Bright said: "We are thrilled to begin our scholarship scheme as the team are passionate about making the arts accessible to as many children as possible."
The school, which uses Beechen Cliff School, is running a free three-hour taster session on September 14.
The Saturday morning session includes singing, dancing, acting, improvisation and theatre-related games, with coaching to a nationally recognised syllabus.
