The Bath Building Society has announced its charity of the year as Dorothy House Hospice.
As part of the society's commitment to Dorothy House, staff will organise and take part in various fundraising activities throughout the rest of this year and all of 2014 to raise much needed funds for the charity and its hospice in Winsley.
Chief executive of the society Dick Jenkins said he and all his staff were looking forward to supporting such an important local charity.
He said: "As a local business, we were keen to find a charity to work with us and have similar local values to ourselves and Dorothy House was a good match.
"They are a well organised and well respected group with a big presence in Bath.
"They touch people's lives in a sympathetic and tangible way at a crucial time in a person's life when they need the support the most."
He added: "We couldn't be happier that we have chosen them."
Bath Building Society has already raised £878 for Dorothy House.
