It's a long way from Scotland to the Cotswolds and it seems even further if you're on a bike – especially if you happen to be carrying costumes and props for a Shakespeare play.
But that's exactly what innovative theatre group The HandleBards are doing in order to present Twelfth Night in Painswick next week.
The four-strong, all-male troupe of travelling players have cycled from Glasgow to London, stopping off at 25 venues to perform a codpiece-bruising distance of 926 miles.
Next Wednesday and Thursday is the turn of the Rococo Garden as the HandleBards cart their set, props, costumes and camping equipment through the Gloucestershire's lanes to leafy Painswick. The HandleBards will play multiple characters in the play, set for this particular production in the 1930s.
Paul Moir, of the Rococo Garden, said: "Having cycled from Land's End to John o'Groats many years ago, I can confirm these guys must be absolutely mad."
