SWGR Hip Hop Dance Festival comes to Bath on Saturday, August 17 and Sunday, August 18 thanks to South West Got Rhythm.

Arun Nadarasa, a 2011 pharmacy graduate of the University of Bath, is the main organiser behind the this year's event, together with Jason Forder, a postgraduate mechanical engineer at the university.

The festival, which will be raising money for British Red Cross, is now in its fourth year and already promises to be bigger than ever before.

More than 350 dancers will be travelling to Bath to take part – some coming from as far away as Poland and Brazil.

Arun says: "This festival is what makes the local dance community inspired in continuing to pursue their passion for dance since it allows them to meet dancers from others cities and Europe."

Starting at 4pm on the Saturday and 1.30pm on the Sunday, the festival will take place at Green Park Station on both days.

Entry to Green Park Station will be free, although all donations received will go direct to British Red Cross.

The dance styles covered are breaking, hip hop, house, krump and popping.

Green Park Brasserie and Express Cafe will be serving delicious foods and non-alcoholic drinks throughout the event for competitor and spectators.

Dan Bain, marketing and events coordinator for Green Park Station, said: "We are really pleased we can welcome the return of South West Got Rhythm.

"Arun's love and passion for the hip hop dance scene shines through at this event, his energy and dedication will create a fantastic atmosphere for the local community and competitors.

"This festival will be another chance to highlight the fantastic possibilities Green Park Station has to offer as an event venue in the centre of Bath."
