Saltford has formally received Fairtrade village status.
The village launched its campaign to achieve the status more than a year ago under the leadership of resident Gill Self.
The Saltford Fairtrade Group has spent the last 12 months gathering evidence and proving that Saltford supports and uses Fairtrade products.
The campaign received the support of many community groups including Saltford Parish Council, Saltford Community Association, Saltford School, St Mary's Church, the Co-op Store and Saltford Environment Group.
Mrs Self was presented with the village status certificate by the chairman of Bath and North East Somerset Council, Councillor Neil Butters.
She said: "We are setting new targets to demonstrate that a significant number of local businesses, organisations and community groups in Saltford support Fairtrade and are committed to using Fairtrade products in the future. Our campaigning continues."
