A Bath community centre has installed 90 solar panels in a bid to be more environmentally-friendly.
The Percy Community Centre, in New King Street, called on Bath renewable energy firm Ace Energy to carry out the work.
It is hoped the move will significantly reduce the centre's energy bill and reduce its carbon emissions.
Any electricity not used by the centre will be exported to the grid for use by local homes and businesses.
Centre manager Adam Pitt said: "We are committed to making the centre as environmentally-friendly as possible and the board of trustees have been fully supportive of us during this project – in particular sourcing the funding which enabled the project to go ahead.
"This was undoubtedly the most difficult part of the project but there is funding available, you just need to know where to look."
Ace Energy managing director Alan Seviour said the centre had approached the firm and asked them to design the best green energy solution for them.
He said: "We've been delighted to work here for an organisation which is so community-minded and so actively green."
