Children at a Bath school have raised more than £150 for local abandoned animals by hosting a Spring Fayre.
The Link School, in Frome Road, which caters for youngsters with behavioural difficulties, invited parents and families in to enjoy an afternoon of fun.
It included a splat the teacher game, a guess the weight of the cake competition and a nearly-new clothes sale.
The event had been organised by the pupils themselves, with help from teacher April Iles.
It proved to be a huge success, raising £157 for Bath Cats and Dogs Home, in Claverton.
Pupil administrator Julie Swanborough said the children had worked hard to put on the spring fair and all that effort had paid off for them.
She said: "We were very lucky because just as the parents started arriving the sun came out and everyone was able to enjoy ice creams in the warm weather."
