If you think that now the Bath International Music Festival is over and with the Fringe winding up this weekend that a sudden deathly silence will descend on the city, then think again.
Bath's Komedia has a whole host of exciting acts coming our way which will no doubt prove music to our ears.
After selling 25,000 records collectively, Zuby and ShaoDow – pronounced Sha-ow-dough – are rapidly becoming the most prolific independent artists in the country. ShaoDow, a Kung Fu trained MC with a law degree and Zuby, an Oxford University graduate, boast a large fan base with over 20,000 Twitter followers between them.
Together, they have performed all across Europe, Asia and the US and now they are bringing the Blue and Purple tour to Bath on Thursday, June 13.
With support from AC, Terra Slim and Bartoven, this promises to be one of the best hip-hop, dubstep and grime nights of the year.
Popular band, Smallaxe are returning to Komedia to play a night of reggae covers.
Legendary Jamaican vocalist, Alton Ellis has a connection with the band, lead vocalist, Troy is his son. Smallaxe bring their night of reggae classics to Komedia on Friday, June 14.
The ultimate AC/DC tribute act, Livewire is back – bigger, better and louder than ever before. Both the Bon Scott and Brian Johnson eras of AC/DC are included in this show with classics like Whole Lotta Rosie, Highway to Hell and Thunderstruck packed into the two hour rock extravaganza. Any rockers wishing to be treated to a night of high voltage rock'n'roll should head down to Komedia on the Friday, June 21.
Splitting his time between Bath and New York, Clyve has assembled his band ready for a series of gigs. After making his performance debut 12 years ago in front of a 100,000 strong crowd in Washington DC, Clyve brings his band to Bath. Clyve and the Soul City foundation will perform a night of funky grooves, with some soul classics along the tracks from his latest album on Friday, July 5 at Komedia.
After amassing an incredible 900 million views on Youtube over the last six years, Boyce Avenue have embarked on their second World Tour, in which their first leg brings them to Bath for the first time. In a relatively short career they have already started their own record label and supported One Direction on their 'Up all Night' tour.
Boyce Avenue bring their acoustic set to Komedia on the September 25.
Daughter, a trio from London, are playing at Komedia this October. The band, who have recently released their first full-length album, If You Leave, gained international recognition after their song Home' was featured on a episode of hit US TV drama Grey's Anatomy. Daughter play Komedia on October 24.
Also coming up at Komedia is Lloyd Cole, Walter Trout, Hugh Cornwell, Adrian Edmondson & The Bad Shepherds, David Lynch presents Chrysta Bell and Suspiciously Elvis Christmas Special.
