The countdown has begun to a national sporting event in Bath.
In just under 100 days 1,700 athletes with intellectual disabilities will be heading to Bath to compete in the Special Olympics.
Special Olympics GB's 2013 National Summer Games are being held at the University of Bath from Wednesday, August 28 to Sunday, September 1.
Athletes from England, Scotland and Wales are taking in 12 sports at locations across the city, with free entry to members of the public.
The games are open to anyone with an intellectual disability, with 12 events: athletics, artistic gymnastics, football, boccia, badminton, short-mat bowls, golf, rhythmic gymnastics, table tennis, ten pin bowling, tennis and swimming.
They will take place mainly at the University of Bath, with other locations including Bath Golf Club, Hengrove Swimming Pool in Bristol, and Bowlplex Bristol.
The event will kick off with an opening ceremony on Wednesday August 28
Held every four years, the games attract more than 1,700 athletes, and 500 coaches.
The games are being supported by Bath and North East Somerset Council, the university and local businesses, with extra sponsorship still welcome.
The council is keen to capitalise on the legacy of last year's Olympic and Paralympic Games.
