Bath Judo Club members Andrew Rushworth and Joshua Gay marked their senior competitive debuts by winning silver and bronze medals respectively.
Brown belt Rushworth competed in a higher category at the British Judo Association High Wycombe Groundwork Championships but won all his contests in the pool section.
He then went into the knockout stages, where the only fight he lost was for the gold medal.
Gay had only recently attained a black belt and found his first-round fights very difficult but managed to win them all to progress.
He then won two of his four knockout bouts to take home the bronze medal.
Senior coaches Andy Knapp and Peter Thatcher were extremely pleased with the performance of these two players, who look to be future champions.
