John Harrison is leaving his role as Bath Rugby business development manager to take over as team manager at Bristol RFC.
Harrison will be known by a lot of people in the area as he helped to organise Bath Rugby's community work and was the first point of call for schools and local rugby teams looking to get involved with the Aviva Premiership club.
He will be responsible for the administration and management of the first team at Bristol, as well as the welfare of all team members, when he takes up his new role at the Championship club at the beginning of May.
Bristol director of rugby Andy Robinson, a former coach and player at Bath Rugby, said: "John is an individual who brings vast rugby knowledge and I have no doubt he will prove to be a highly effective appointment.
"John worked closely with the Bath Rugby youth set-up and his player development experience will be a huge bonus – he'll become a valued member of the management team."
Harrison added: "I'd like to thank Andy Robinson and his team for all the efforts prior to my arrival [at Bristol].
"I look forward to working with the backroom staff, coaches and players in the coming seasons.
"The infrastructure now in place is geared towards making Bristol a successful operation on and off the field."
