One Bath family are hoping to use a trip to Budapest as a springboard for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Team Bath Judo Club siblings Ben and Megan Fletcher are representing Great Britain at the European Championships in Hungary next week.
Megan, 23, will gain vital experience along a road she hopes will end in Olympic success.
"It is my second European Championships and a realistic aim for me is to place in the medals," said the under-70kg competitor.
Ben, 21, has similar aspirations as he adjusts to a new weight class.
"I had a growth spurt and shot up to 95kg," he said.
"My coach and I made the decision to move into the under-100kg category last August, to try and establish myself for Rio. The Euros are part of that process."
Megan is no stranger to success after winning gold at the 2012 Rome World Cup but Budapest will be a serious challenge.
"I need to be in the top 16 in the world to make the Olympics," she said.
"I am currently 48th, so this is a chance to gain some ranking points and compete with the best."
Points accumulation is pivotal to the siblings' progression.
Ben, the 2011 World Junior Championship silver medalist, added: "It is a massive leap up from the juniors. My aim is to get into the top 22 to qualify for the Olympics.
"If I can win a few fights, hold my own and compete, then the points and experience will be invaluable."
The two siblings remain close and are backing each other to succeed.
Megan said: "He's far too big to fight now! We don't try and outdo each other but support each other instead.
"I won the first European gold and he the first World gold. The decider will be the first to an Olympic medal."
The Fletchers will be joined in the GB squad by Team Bath colleagues Jan Gosiewski and Andy Burns for the Europeans, which start in Budapest, Hungary next Thursday.
